For sea lovers and other travellers that simple want a holiday that where the scenery changes every day, various options of activities right in front and still expect comfort and service the decision is clear! A Lagoon Holiday of 5 days and 4 nights on a chartered catamaran is an ideal way to explore a tropical island like Mauritius - The constantly changing sceneries, places of interest right in front of you, below or a small dinky ride away.
Even activities inland can easily be planed before or during your sail trip to reduce the long driving time considerably.
Water activities such as fishing, dolphin encounter and whale watching is only a matter of planning the sailing rout without additional cost. Diving is another wonderful activity that can be arranged, however; at an additional cost found under options.
We will gladly assist with planning the embankment, dismemberment and coordinating with your hotel accommodations to avoid a hotel transfer by a vehicle between two accommodations, thus a smooth holiday.
Swept by the regular southeast trade winds and with pleasant climatic conditions that prevail year round, Mauritius is a paradise for sailors. Departure is accordingly to your schedule from anywhere on the island out from our base at Port Louis Harbour. The preferred sailing trips lead around the islands’ north and west coast, as these are naturally sheltered by the mainland and offer a calm sea and a very safe navigation zone. As you are always within sight of the mainland or its nearby islands navigation is easy, and the captain are always ready to share his knowledge.
CATAMARAN CHARTER - SOPHICITICAT 5 DAYS AND 4 NIGHTS
Sophisticat cater for the travellers looking for unique experience in luxurious conditions outside the regular and sometime crowded tourist spots around the island of Mauritius. This motor driven catamaran provides additional comfort as the catamaran is fully air-conditioned, 9Kw generator (240v), hot water additional water tank capacity, additional air vents, swim ladder, bimini top and tv/video. We know that you are ready for the pleasurable time awaiting you and eager to set sail. Each boat is fully equipped with provisions, fuel, gas, water and ice for your drinks. Even the linen is provided and your beds will have been made for you.
A 5 days catamaran cruise itinerary can pass with day one where passengers board the catamaran at the Sunset Boulevard Grand Bay or the Suffren’s jetty at the Caudan waterfront or from passengers’ respective hotel accommodation.
We set off on an afternoon cruise to a location where the conditions are ideal for a quiet overnight mooring and snorkelling. Sail time various from 2 to 4 hours.
Open afternoon program where one can swim / snorkel in crystal clear water.
Snorkelling equipment is available.
Lunch consists of:
- Grill/Creole food Chicken, Fish ,Sausage
- Pasta Salad
- Assorted Green Salad
- Garlic bread
- Vegetarian meals on request
- Dessert is local fresh fruit-banana flambé-pineapple

Drinks available:
- House Wine
- Soft drinks, water, beer.
- A bottle of champagne is offered
- Tea and Percolated Coffee
Dinner consists of:

- Seafood Salad
- Chinese tuna petal
- Cabbage salad with ginger flavour
- Dessert local fruits depending on season

Passing into day two; the morning start with continental breakfast before setting sail to Flat Island or Coin de Mire all accordingly to your request and Weather conditions.
Activities can consist of swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear water or fishing of the catamaran (Snorkelling and fishing equipment is available).
Guide tour of Grand Bay or a visit to Banana Cafee for live music (Thursday or Friday only).
Discover SCUBA diving or 2 tank dives can be booked (See Options)
Breakfast consists of:
- Juices / percolated coffee/tea.
- Toasts/bread
- Butter Cheese
- Jams/Marmalades
- Bacon and egg
Lunch consists of:
- Cold meal
- Salami, Saucisson, others
- Assorted Salads
- Dessert is local fruit salad
Drinks same as above
Dinner consists of:

- Fish tartar
- Brochette of Chicken Satay
- Rice salad and Tomato Salad
- Dessert local fruits or ice cream/ Sheercat banana

Guide tour of Grand Bay or a visit to Banana Cafee for live music (Thursday or Friday only).
Passing into day three; the morning starts with continental breakfast at Coin de Mire before setting sail from Grand Bay to Mahebourg in the south of the island. Sailing the east coast we suggest to visiting Le Barachois with the possibility of having lunch at Le Barachois Restaurant. Hereafter passing Ile de La Passe, Ile aux Phare, Ile aux Aigrettes; here you can visit one of the island, however; Ile aux Aigrettes is a protected nature reserve thus, only guide visit is allow at a fee.
Quiet overnight mooring at Point Jerome.
Activities can consist of swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear water or fishing of the catamaran (Snorkelling and fishing equipment is available).
Guide tour of Mahebourg
Guide visit of Ile aux Aigrettes (please book separate)

- Ala carte from Le Barachois Restaurant menu cart

Dinner consists of:

Passing into day four; the morning starts with continental breakfast at Coin de Mire before setting sail. Taking the south coast you need to have your camera ready; spectacular sceneries will await you with the cliffs of Souilac and Gris Gris, the Baie du Cap and Le Morne Mountain. Near Le Morne you might be luck to see Dolphins or turtles coming up to take a breath or two.
Activities can consist of swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear water. Fishing of the catamaran is definitely a good idea (Snorkelling and fishing equipment is available).

Sunset is a must.
Barbecue Lunch consists of:
- Grilled fish and chicken sausage
- Potato salad
- Bread
- Assorted green Salad

Dinner consists of:
- Sashimi of tuna
- Gilled vegetables accompanied with mozzarella
- Assorted Salads
- Dessert local fruits or ice cream

Passing into day five; start the morning early with dolphin watching before your breakfast, as you might get a change to swim with them as well. Enjoy the lagoon snorkelling and a walk on the Benitiers Island before setting sail.
Depending on accommodation or departure the island the catamaran sail rout will be adjusted accordingly to assure a comfortable dismemberment. Otherwise, the catamaran will return back at the Suffren’s jetty at the waterfront or Grand Bay or the same accommodation, where you embarked, at 16h00.
