Ylang Ylang Distillery – Domaine Anse Jonchée – South East Coast Mauritius.
The Ylang Ylang Distillery and essence garden are located near the river at the main entrance of the domain. It is one of the oldest distilleries of the island with more than 100 years.
While visiting the distillery, the guide will show the alembic process and you will follow him in the essence garden in order to discover the plants that have been used for the essential oil production such as citronella, cinnamon, ylang ylang and also plants which are used in Mauritian and European cuisine, namely the ginger, curry leaves and much more.

At the reception of Domaine Anse Jonchée reception there is a small essential oil shop which offers candles, essences, bath oil or massages oil and a variety of product with different smells such as ylang ylang, eucalyptus, citronella, hibiscus, vanilla, frangipani etc.
