Canyoning Full Day Tamarind Falls - Vertical World – Mauritius Highlands
Discover the whole of the Tamarin Falls canyon through this full day-
Full-on vertical adventure. You will come to a total of 9-11 abseil including the highest (55m) of the canyon. Also, wade and jump across 8 ponds from 10m to 60m long and end with a 45 min steep up-hill climb with all the equipment.
CANYONING FULL DAY AT TAMARIND FALLS WITH VERTICAL WORLD
A 15min hike through the sugar cane field takes us on the edge of the first 40m waterfall. Our first descent is a 40m drop 'in the spray'. We will progress thought the canyon by following the river and abseil down two falls (10m and 15m) before reaching the big 55m drop. We abseil in the spray, this is the impressive part of the canyon as we need to make a belay changeover in the middle.
We have lunch a little further down on the hot rocks if it is sunny or else under the trees. Our packed lunch consists of chicken or veg. chop soy, fruits, chocolates and water. The second part of the canyon will comprise an 2 meter hole jump, and a series of abseil between 7 and 20 meter all landing in water.

Safety equipment:
Waterproofed field medical kit, head torches, signal flares, waterproofed cell phone and VHF radio, technical rope rescue equipment, throw bags, Fire lighters and emergency food amongst others.
Equipment in standby vehicle:
Full medical kit in ready to deploy rescue back pack (including oxygen kit)
Strokes collapsible vertical stretcher (Vertical world is the only company having such equipment in Mauritius)
Radio communication equipment
GPS navigational System
