Le Domaine d’Anse Jonchée offers several trekking possibilities. Guest will be delighted to discover Mauritian fauna and flora in a preserved natural environment along carefully laid out trails.

Circuits go from 40 minutes to two hours walks through panoramic views & lush vegetation which will vivify the ramblers’ souls and hearts. Except during June & September (hunting, maiden season) and depending on their moods, you will have the opportunity to approach closely a deer. Our guide will give you necessary treats and will guide you to our deer park.

LEISURE PARK AT DOMAINE ANSE JONCHEE

Bird watching is available all year round at Domaine Anse Jonchee as it is the natural environment of many endemics species and exotics birds. However, the best period to observe closely the Mauritian Kestrel is between September to December because females stay in the nest with babies, before took off in mid November.

At the same period, it is the beginning of summer in Mauritius. Trees are full with fruits and flowers which ease observation of the golden Mauritian bats (flying from the mountain) and many other birds such as yellow and red foudias, pic-pics, boule-boules and many others.
